Description
Infrared sensor E18-D80N is an infrared emitter and receiver, combined into one building. The sensor uses modulated infrared radiation, due to which it is less sensitive to extraneous light.
Although the sensor cannot be used to measure distance, it can be used as an alternative to ultrasonic and infrared obstacle sensors. The E18-D80NK can be configured to operate over a range of distances from 3 to 80 cm. Has a built-in LED, lights up when triggered.
There is a regulator on the back wall of the sensor with which you can adjust the sensing distance. If there is an obstacle at the output, a logical zero will be set. For a confident logical one when connected to a microcontroller, you need to add a pull-up resistor with a value 1 – 10 TO.
