Description
Digital touch module designed to activate devices by touch, replacing traditional buttons. It is suitable for light control, lamps, monitoring the water level in containers (plastic barrels, aquariums, etc.). The sensor responds to a light touch, including touching through glass or plastic (up to 3 mm).
The board is based on the TTP223 chip in the “SOT23-6” package with 6 conclusions. The module responds to changes in capacitance, caused by pressing a touch button. This changes the leakage current, and the microcircuit detects pressing. If the sensor is not used 12 seconds, the module goes into power saving mode. Operating range – 3 mm.
Connection to Arduino or other microcontrollers is made through three pins: ground, digital signal and supply voltage. There are two jumpers on the module board: A for output level (or, if closed, for low level), and B for button (or trigger) mode.
Touch button module can work as a latching trigger. The sensitivity of the sensor is regulated by additional capacitance (from 1 to 50 pF) by soldering.
The module is powered from an external source, Arduino boards or other microcontrollers, ranging from 2 to 5,5 IN.
